Suburban
A tier-1 end user used two small-diameter HDPE conduits and Future Path bundles from Dura-Line to connect two data centres in the suburbs of a major city in Ireland, directly installing it into an existing conduit network via an innovative 2-compartment drum system which allows the different-sized products to be installed simultaneously.
Urban
An installer working on behalf of a tier-1 operator used FuturePath, DuraOpto HDPE, and Bull-Line® Pull Tape from Dura-Line which will connect transatlantic submarine cables from the US Atlantic Coast to a major city on the east west coast of Ireland and beyond. This subdivided an existing standard conduit and will enable the end user to deliver a system capacity of more than 320 Tbps over 16 fiber pairs.
Rural
A tier-1 end user installed two FuturePath conduit bundles and DuraOpto HDPE from Dura-Line to connect sub-sea cables from a data centre in Ireland to the west coast of Wales and through to a data centre in eastern Wales, mole-ploughing the conduits in along very narrow rural roads. All three conduit bundles were installed via the same innovative 3-compartment drum, which individually rotated at different speeds to cater for the different bending radii. Installation took place in the grass verge and central verge of the roads.
