MicroTechnology

MicroTechnology is a term given to smaller conduits and fiber used in Inside and Outside Plant Construction (ISP and OSP). MicroDucts were developed as a solution to house fiber cables that were smaller in size, but still carried significant capacity. Today, MicroCables range from 6 to 432-fiber counts. The glass fibers are the same type as those used in traditional fiber cables, only the cable design has been altered to reduce the diameter of the cable sheath and support system. MicroDucts bundled under one sheath are called FuturePath and provide multiple ducts in one structure for future expansion of networks.

DuraOpto ducts are made from top quality virgin High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or other raw materials . There are many variations and options to optimize the product for various installations and applications. These ducts are used for backbone, city loop or feeder fiber network lines, where traditional fiber cables are installed by blowing over long distances. Our innovative designs and experience in the global market help make installations faster, easier, and more productive.

Conduit Fire Retardant

Conduit, MicroDuct, and FuturePath products made from up to 100% internal reground High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) from Dura-Line’s own internal manufacturing process. Sustainability has become a modern prerequisite for investments in network infrastructure and reworked products can contribute to lower scope 3 emissions for asset owners, with equivalent performance and reliability to regular conduit products against stipulated parameters.

MicroDucts and DuraOpto Ducts have a core range of accessories to fully install a conduit pathway. The core ranges includes selections for coupling, sealing, locating, and terminating the duct. Products are also available to aid in installing cable, including Gas Block connectors and Wall Entry Seals.

We offer Conduit HDPE in two variations: Conduit HDPE DB (Direct Buried) can withstand impact and is ideal for direct-buried installations, while Conduit HDPE DI (Direct Install) is designed to be installed by pulling, blowing, or pushing into existing conduit systems.
